A diode is a two-terminal semiconductor component that conducts electric current in a single direction. It has low resistance in one direction and a high resistance in the other direction.

But what does a diode do in real life? Where are we using it?
Some of the applications of diode in real life include radio receivers where signal demodulation is required, light emission in LEDs, solar panels, logic gates.
